This month, we put the spotlight on Tara Court from The Spray Tan Society. We know that this is something that is of interest and importance to many brides (and some grooms – we don’t want to leave the men out!) in their quest to look their best on their big day. A natural looking tan can really add to a bride’s look and can help to even out tan lines for all dress styles.
What services do you offer for bridal parties at The Waterfront?
The Spray Tan Society offers spray tans and teeth whitening to help bridal parties look their best. As specialists in spray tanning, we have solutions that suit all skin types so that everyone can get a gorgeous natural glow – we promise no scary fake orange! We have packages for that include a spray tan and champagne for the bride and her bridesmaids, so you can get together for a day of pampering in the lead up to the wedding.
What are some of the most common questions bridal couples have about spray tanning?
The questions I am most frequently asked are “When is the best day to get my spray tan?” and “Will it stain my dress?”
I recommend that brides should plan to have their spray tan at least two days before the wedding. This will allow all excess bronzer to wash off, so you can enjoy your day knowing that your tan won’t stain or mark your dress.
What are some of the key trends for spray tans for weddings?
Most brides arrange for herself and her bridesmaids to come in together, enjoy a champagne and walk out with a natural looking spray tan. At The Spray Tan Society, we love helping brides have a healthy glow on their wedding day.
What are your top three tips for getting a spray tan prior to a wedding?
First of all, make sure you exfoliate 1-2 days before the spray tan to remove dead skin cells and give a smooth base for your tan.
My second tip is to make sure to moisturise after exfoliating as dry skin will cause the spray tan to crack.
Finally, on the day of the spray tan make sure your underarms are deodorant free, and that you are wearing no moisturiser or makeup. It is best to have clean, fresh skin, avoiding any oil based products, as these can leave traces on the skin that cause streaking.
