If you are planning on getting married on a Saturday in Spring, then you’ll probably need to book your celebrant, venue and suppliers well ahead of time.
According to recent surveys by Easy Wedding and My Wedding Décor, a whopping 62% of all weddings in Australia occur on a Saturday. None of the other days of the week really come into comparison to the Saturday figure, with the next most popular day being Friday at 15%.
Sunday was the third most popular day to get married and the rest of the days of the week all had similar results.
When it comes to the time of the year, Spring is the clear winner with an October wedding date being the most popular. The Autumn month of April wasn’t too far behind, in fact, it was equally as popular as September… the second Spring month choice.
The one exception is the Saturday after Valentine’s Day. It’s a popular choice for all the loved-up couples out there.
So, here’s a tip. Winter weddings can be wonderful. Think of all the rich colour themes, opulent fabrics, romantic candlelight, summer honeymoons overseas and loads more choices when it comes to vendors and preferred dates. There are even some added bonuses at the Waterfront with the winter months creating some of our most spectacular sunsets as a backdrop for your photos, plus we have an amazing mid-year package that could save you big dollars. https://waterfrontfunctions.net.au/event/mid-year-weddings-special/
But if your heart is set on a Spring wedding with all those beautiful soft wedding themes and flowers in abundance, why not think about a wedding on another day of the week instead of Saturday or maybe a wedding lunch instead of an evening event?
Give our friendly events team at the Waterfront a call and discuss your options, ideas and preferred dates. They would love to hear from you. Call 1300 608 910 or email events@waterfrontfunctions.net.au
